Working at Swisscom, business unit Sicap
In 2003 I joined SICAP and started as a product manager in the area of mobile messaging, focussing on USSD (USSD Menu Browsing and USSD callback for collect call).

Since 2007, I am a team leader. Until 2009 I was leading the global presales department (a group of technical consultants who discuss and promote Sicap products at mobile operators world-wide), then the consultancy department (called Consultancy and Process Quality) and now I am leading a line of business in Sicap called Voice and USSD applications, which is responsible for the network-near products of Sicap with subteams for marketing, expertise, product development, test and support.

working at Ericsson
  • Ericsson Eurolab: In 1991 I joined Ericsson. I was first sent for on the job training to BSC design in Linkoping (Sweden) for nine months. Upon return to EED in Herzogenrath (Germany) I first took the responsibility for the group that worked on supplementary services in Ericsson's GSM Switching System (CME20 SS). Later I have set up a new group which was responsible for all market ISUP development in GSM for markets where Ericsson has no local design resources. I have participated in all design phases from feasibility study from function test. In 1994 I took the position as project leader for CME20 SS R6, which task has received recognition as an exceptional achievement by president of Ericsson business unit for GSM (Kjell Andersson). • Ericsson Radio: In 1997 I joined Ericsson Radio in Stockholm as project leader for Digital Switching and Applications (DSA-R8), that consisted of development for the circuit switching part (CME20 SS), the development of the packet switching part (GPRS) and the development value added services. After that I worked at at "Marketing and wireless E-solutions" as a section leader within business development. This section worked on tailor-made solutions for the travel and transport industry.
  • Ericsson Switzerland: In 2000 I joined Ericsson Market Unit Switzerland to participate in the UMTS race. Four UMTS licenses were sold in an auction and each of the licensees needs UMTS infrastructure. I do solution marketing for towards these UMTS customers. The heart of the function is to define attractive technical solutions together with the customer and be the primary interface towards the customer for all solution related questions. Therefore, I spend a lot of time in the front-line with the customer including the necessary wining and dining to build the customer relations. The back-office part of the job consists of managing a team of solution managers that writes solution descriptions, presentation material, dimensioning, cost figures, prices and most importantly prepares the commercial offers towards the customer.
